France's Macron: Security guarantees for Ukraine are ready
PARIS, Sept 3 (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that security guarantees for Ukraine were ready and will be endorsed on Thursday by the "coalition of the willing" backing Kyiv.
"We are ready as Europeans to offer security guarantees to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, the day a peace deal is signed," Macron said, adding, "The preparatory work is done."
Macron was hosting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the Elysee palace in Paris on the eve of a meeting of leaders of the coalition of the willing group of nations supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia.
