Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline profit margins inch lower

LONDON, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline profit margins fell 32 cents to $15.33 a barrel on Wednesday.

• A total of 13,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded in the session, with Gunvor and BP selling to Trafigura, TotalEnergies and Varo.

• No Eurobob E10 barges traded in the session.

• U.S. gasoline inventories fell last week as demand rose, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday, but dropped by lesser than expected by 1.2 million barrels in the week compared to analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 2.2-million-barrel draw.

• Gasoline supplied, a proxy for demand rose to 9.24 million barrels per day (bpd) last week, up from 8.84 million, the EIA said.​

• The 220,000 bpd crude distillation unit and 97,000 bpd vacuum distillation unit at TotalEnergies' Donges refinery have been successfully restarted following a five-day outage due to a fire, data from Wood Mackenzie's Genscape showed.

• Vietnam is planning to switch completely to ethanol-blended gasoline from next year, opening up the possibility for the Southeast Asian country to import more ethanol and corn from the United States.

• Overall, gasoline cracks and spreads are weaker near term, but the downside was "capped by impeding turnarounds and potential for PADD-1 stocks to draw further," said Sparta Commodities analyst Philip Jones-Lux.
