US Cash Grains-Corn basis mixed across the US Midwest

CHICAGO, June 23 (Reuters) - Spot corn basis bids were mixed at grain elevators, river terminals and processing plants in the U.S. Midwest on Monday with limited farmer selling, according to analysts.

• Analysts said trade was quiet in the cash market, but there were some local pushes for deliveries where crops appear poor and there is greater demand.

• The corn basis improved at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa and an ethanol plant in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

• The corn basis fell at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and an elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio.

• The soybean basis rose at a processor in Lafayette, Indiana and weakened at the elevator in Cincinnati.

• Warm, wet weather is expected to provide ideal growing conditions in the U.S. corn belt in the coming weeks, according to analysts.
