LONDON, June 18 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline profit margins jumped by about $2 to $12.87 a barrel on Wednesday, despite data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showing fuel stocks gained last week.
A total of 8,000 metric tons of Eurobob E5 barges traded, with Varo and Shell selling to Trafigura and BP.
A further 12,000 tons of Eurobob E10 barges traded, with TotalEnergies, Sahara, Shell and Trafigura selling to Exxon, MB Energy, Varo and BP.
In the U.S., the EIA said gasoline inventories rose by 209,000 barrels for the week ending June 13, compared with forecasts for a 627,000-barrel build.
China's exports of refined products, which include diesel, gasoline, aviation fuel and marine fuel, dropped 17.7% year-on-year to 4.41 million tons in May due to maintenance at both state-owned and independent refiners.
Russia increased gasoline exports by railway by a quarter year-on-year between January and May to around 2.51 million tons on an easing fuel embargo, two market sources said and Reuters calculations showed.
A 90,000 metric ton cargo of gasoline from Nigeria's Dangote refinery will be sold out of the region for the first time and bound for Asia, a source familiar with the matter said. Previously, the refinery's cargoes have stayed in west Africa.
