CIF/FOB Gulf Grain-Soybean, corn barge bids stay mostly flat

CHICAGO, June 17 (Reuters) - Basis bids for soybeans and corn delivered by barge to U.S. Gulf Coast terminals were mostly flat on Tuesday as demand looked largely routine, traders said.

• Exporters sold 120,000 metric tons of U.S. soymeal to unknown destinations for 2025-26 delivery, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.

• Futures traders assessed uncertain weather conditions for U.S. crops that farmers will harvest this autumn.

• Expectations for a large harvest and limp demand have pressured soybean basis values.

• CIF soybean barges loaded in June were bid at 63 cents over Chicago Board of Trade July SN25 soybean futures, unchanged from Monday. July barge loadings were bid at 68 cents over July futures, which was also flat.

• FOB export premiums for soybeans loaded from the Gulf in June were offered steady at about 79 cents over July futures.

• For corn, CIF barges loaded in June were bid at 66 cents over CBOT July corn futures CN25, unchanged from Monday. July barge loadings were also bid at 66 cents over futures.

• FOB export premiums for corn shipped from the Gulf in June were offered at about 80 cents over CBOT July corn futures, which was steady. Premiums for July shipments eased by 3 cents to 74 cents over futures.
