BRUSSELS, May 6 (Reuters) - The European Commission will next month propose to ban new Russian gas deals by the end of the year, and ban imports under existing contracts by end-2027, a draft European Commission document, seen by Reuters, showed.
A draft of the European Commission's "roadmap" to phase out Russian energy, which is due to be published on Tuesday, said that in June, the Commission will present a legal proposal to ban remaining Russian gas and LNG imports under existing contracts by end-2027.
The draft could still change before it is published.
