SAO PAULO, April 29 (Reuters) - Brazil's Mato Grosso farmers lobby Aprosoja-MT has filed a lawsuit against global grain companies over Brazil's so-called "soy moratorium," a voluntary agreement by traders which bans the purchase of soybeans from areas of the Amazon deforested after 2008.
The defendants in the suit include the Brazilian units of ADM ADM.N, Bunge BG.N, Cargill, Louis Dreyfus Company and COFCO, according to a copy of Aprosoja's complaint filed with the court and seen by Reuters on Tuesday.
Lobbies for grain exporters, such as Abiove and Anc, are included as defendants in the proceedings.
