Argentina's YPF to cut gasoline, diesel prices by 4% from May 1 - statement
BUENOS AIRES, April 29 (Reuters) - Argentina's state energy firm YPF said on Tuesday that it would lower gasoline and diesel prices at the pump by 4% from May 1, citing international oil prices and the domestic exchange rate amongst other factors.
The price cut comes as international oil prices are dropping amid demand fears and after the local Argentine peso was allowed to weaken when currency controls were eased earlier this month. The South American country is still battling high inflation.
