LONDON, April 29 (Reuters) - Associated British Foods ABF.L keeps its conglomerate structure under constant review but believes it works well, its boss said on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, a report on the This is Money website, citing sources close to the firm, said the resignation of Paul Marchant as Primark's boss could accelerate a spin-off of the clothing retail business from its parent.
The group also owns major sugar, grocery, agriculture and ingredients businesses.
"We keep the structure under review because we have to, but the combination of the two, food and Primark, has worked really well for a long, long time," CEO George Weston, chief executive of AB Foods told Reuters after the group reported first half results.
