Charles Hoskinson

Charles Hoskinson is a technology entrepreneur and mathematician known for co-founding Cardano, Ethereum, and Input Output Global, Inc. (previously IOHK).

His journey into the world of cryptocurrencies began in 2013 when he initiated the Bitcoin Education Project. This project aimed to lower the barriers for anyone interested in entering the crypto space while also educating the public about Bitcoin by dispelling misinformation and creating informative content.

In 2013, Hoskinson became the founding chairman of the education committee for the Bitcoin Foundation. He also established the Cryptocurrency Research Group during the same year.

Later in 2013, Hoskinson joined a team that included Vitalik Buterin and others, which ultimately led to the founding of Ethereum. While working on Ethereum, he served as the chief executive of the Ethereum Foundation.

During his brief tenure in that role, he proposed to the founding team and community that the Ethereum Foundation could evolve into a for-profit organization with a more structured governance model. This suggestion was not well received by Buterin and the rest of the Ethereum community, who preferred to maintain the Ethereum platform as open-source and decentralized, free from venture capital influence.

This disagreement over external funding resulted in Hoskinson's departure from the Ethereum team.

Following this, Hoskinson partnered with a former Ethereum colleague to establish IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong), an engineering and research firm focused on developing cryptocurrencies and blockchains for government entities, academic institutions, and corporations.

IOHK's most notable project is Cardano, a public blockchain that supports smart contract functionality. As of August 2022, Cardano (ADA) ranks among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, valued at approximately $15.5 billion.

Camarilla Pivot Points is an adapted version of the traditional Pivot Point. Introduced in 1989 by Nick Scott, a successful bond trader, the fundamental concept behind Camarilla Pivot Points is that prices tend to revert to their mean until they do not. The key distinction from the classic pivot point formula lies in the incorporation of Fibonacci numbers in the calculation of pivot levels. Camarilla Pivot Points serve as a mathematical tool for price action analysis, generating potential intraday support and resistance levels. Like classic pivot points, it utilizes the previous day’s high price, low price, and closing price.
