Bitstamp is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange (CEX) based in Luxembourg, the UK, and the US. It commenced operations in 2011, led by then CEO Nejc Kodric and co-founded by Damigan Merlank in their home country of Slovenia.

As one of the earliest exchanges, Bitstamp enabled users to buy and sell bitcoin (BTC). The platform supports deposits in USD, EUR, and BTC.

Bitstamp provides access to 54 different tradable digital assets, including stablecoins such as Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), DAI, Paxos Standard (USDP), and Gemini Dollar (GUSD).
