China’s Stock Market Surges! Shanghai Composite Breaks 3,900, Hits 10-Year High

TradingKey – All three major Chinese indices rally over 1%, setting multi-year records.
On Thursday, October 9, Chinese equities posted strong gains across the board, with all three benchmark indices rising more than 1%. As of press time:
- Shanghai Composite Index (000001) jumped 1.32% to 3,933 points — its highest level since 2015.
- Shenzhen Component Index (399001) rose 1.73% to 13,760 points — a new high since 2022.
- ChiNext Index (399006) climbed 1.65% to 3,290 points — the strongest level since 2021.

Leading the rally was the controlled nuclear fusion sector, which surged over 6%. Other standout performers included storage chips, rare earth magnets, and gold-linked stocks, each gaining more than 4%.
