U.S. drone stocks are climbing after the White House said it would levy tariffs on drones deemed to pose a national-security threat.

President Trump imposed 100% tariffs drones with a maximum takeoff weight of more than 25 kilograms as well as those with thermal imaging capabilities and some critical components. Certain drones that are smaller or deemed less risky will be subject to a 25% tariff.
Meanwhile, the government plans to set up an onshoring program for companies investing in drone manufacturing.
