Iran Says No Ship Safe in Strait of Hormuz Without Tehran Approval

Iran’s joint military command said any vessel must obtain Tehran’s permission to transit the Strait of Hormuz and that no ship is safe in the waterway without approval.

The statement said Iran fully controls the strait, is monitoring US movements in the region, and rejected US assertions of control.
