Ether Leads Crypto's Hold Above Key Levels as Bitcoin Steadies over $63,000

ther (ETH) led crypto majors into Monday as bitcoin held above $63,000, steadying after a week that pulled it off its lows and back to its highest in more than a month.

Bitcoin traded around $63,207, little changed on the day but up 5.5% over seven days, per CoinDesk data. Ether was the stronger performer over the week, up 12.4% to about $1,777, while BNB and dogecoin each gained around 5.5%. Solana held near $80.77 with an 11.2% weekly rise and Hyperliquid's HYPE led the majors, up 14.6% on the week. XRP traded at $1.14, up 9.4% over seven days.

Binance Suspends Crypto Trading After Failing to Secure MiCA License in France

Binance has stopped offering crypto trading services in France after failing to obtain a MiCA license, BFM Business reported. French users can now only withdraw their crypto assets.

The leading crypto exchange previously served about 2 million users in France, offering services including spot, futures, margin, and custody. The exchange added that user funds remain safe.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) accused President Donald Trump on Sunday of using the presidency to advance his family’s cryptocurrency interests rather than working to lower costs for the people.

The infographic highlighted Trump’s remarks at the Blockworks Digital Asset Summit in March 2025, where he called on Congress to pass stablecoin legislation. This was followed by the launch of USD1, a dollar-pegged stablecoin, by World Liberty Financial, a decentralized finance platform that lists Trump’s sons as co-founders.

Coinbase faced sharp criticism this weekend after an AI-generated alert on its prediction markets reportedly declared a false World Cup result, saying Norway had beaten Brazil before the match was played.

The notification claimed Norway won 3-2, with striker Erling Haaland scoring twice, and framed the fabricated outcome as breaking news. Users flagged the alert on social media, where critics called it dangerous and irresponsible.
