Iran submitted a revised proposal to end the conflict via Pakistani mediators, but the White House views the changes as insufficient for a deal, according to a senior U.S. official and a source briefed on the matter.
The proposal reportedly adds language pledging Iran will not pursue nuclear weapons but lacks detailed commitments on uranium enrichment or its highly enriched uranium stockpile. President Donald Trump is expected to meet with senior national security officials Tuesday to discuss military options.
A senior U.S. official told Axios that without meaningful concessions from Iran, negotiations may continue “through bombs.”
