Veeva Systems will replace Coterra Energy in the S&P 500 before the opening bell on May 7. Veeva Systems, a cloud software provider for life sciences, has a $25 billion market cap. Shares are down 30.1% year-to-date. Veeva Systems shares surged 10.3% in premarket trading.

NIO's April deliveries rose 22.8% year-on-year to 29,356 vehicles, but the figure slumped 17.3% from March due to industry headwinds. The shares dropped 3% in premarket trading.
