Albemarle Gets Target Increases on Positive Lithium Outlook
Albemarle stands to benefit from a more positive outlook on the lithium market. "With lithium prices potentially moving higher near term, we see risk/reward as more balanced" for the company, UBS analyst Joshua Spector says in a note. Mizuho's John Roberts said that stationary storage now accounts for 20% of lithium demand, and is likely to increase alongside energy demands to power data centers. Mizuho raises its price target to $110 from $92, and UBS put it at $107, up from $85. Both, however, sit below the current share price of $114.26.
