Tesla Prepares to Expand Giga Texas with New Optimus Production Plant

Tesla is planning a major expansion of Gigafactory Texas with a new facility dedicated to manufacturing its Optimus humanoid robot, sources told Reuters. While some units are already being produced on a pilot line at the Fremont Factory in Northern California, Tesla intends to make the vast majority of Optimus units in Texas. CEO Elon Musk said the company will build one million units per year in Fremont but aims to produce 10 million units annually at the new Texas facility.
