Japanese media outlet, Kyodo News, reported on Tuesday that Japan is considering accepting lower US tariff rates and not demanding exemption.
Earlier in the day, Kyodo News reported that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is not expected to attend the talks between Japan and the US coming up on Friday.
