Chip stocks gained again in overnight trading. Western Digital rose 4%; Micron, SanDisk, Seagate Technology, and Arm rose 3%; Intel, AMD, and ASML rose 2%; Marvell Technology, TSMC, Lam Research, and Applied Materials rose 1%.

Moderna shares gained another 4% in overnight trading. Shares of Moderna popped 16% on Wednesday after the biotech leader announced positive clinical trial results for its experimental skin cancer vaccine, developed with healthcare giant Merck.

GameStop stock rose 3% in overnight trading after Chairman Ryan Cohen disclosed a significant increase in his stake in the video game retailer.

Rocket Lab shares dropped 3.5% in overnight trading. Rocket Lab gave Neutron test update, said stage 1 tank rupture during hydrostatic pressure trial.
