US-listed shares of Toyota gained 4% in overnight trading. Toyota Motor said on Wednesday it had agreed to raise its offer for group firm Toyota Industries to 18,800 yen ($118.11) per share as part of the plan to take the forklift maker private. The Japanese automotive giant had previously offered 16,300 yen per share in a deal announced in June.

Silver stocks and ETFs dropped in overnight trading as spot silver fell below $90. ProShares Ultra Silver fell 9%; iShares Silver Trust and Hycroft Mining fell 4%; Pan American Silver fell 2%.
