SmartRent Q2 2026 earnings: Gross margin expansion turns adjusted EBITDA positive

SmartRent’s Q2 2026 revenue rose 4% to $39.8 million, while Core Revenue increased 14% to $38.4 million. Gross margin expanded 760 basis points to 40.7%, and adjusted EBITDA improved to positive $0.7 million from a $7.3 million loss. The GAAP net loss narrowed 48% to $5.6 million, or $0.03 per diluted share. SaaS growth and professional-services installations offset lower hardware revenue, while booked units nearly doubled. SmartRent ended June with $92.7 million in cash, no debt, and an undrawn $75 million credit facility.
