Important metrics include revenue growth, gross profit, gross margin, operating profit, operating margin, net income, EPS, R&D expenses, SG&A expenses, and tax expense. Investors usually look at these together to judge whether the company is growing, controlling costs, and improving profitability.

EPS, or earnings per share, is based on net income divided by the number of shares outstanding. It helps investors understand how much profit the company generated for each share, but it should be reviewed alongside share count changes, margins, cash flow, and valuation metrics.
