AIG Q2 2026 Earnings: Premium Growth Supports Underwriting Profit

AIG’s Q2 2026 results showed General Insurance net premiums written of $7.52 billion, up 9% year over year, and underwriting income of $686 million, up 10%. GAAP diluted EPS fell 10% to $1.78 as changes in the fair value of Corebridge and equity securities weighed on net income, while adjusted diluted EPS rose 10% to $2.00. The combined ratio improved 30 basis points to 89.0%, with stronger North America Commercial and Global Personal results offset by weaker International Commercial underwriting. AIG returned $904 million to shareholders.
