Revolution Medicines, Inc. jumped over 16% in premarket trading as Merck is in talks to buy it, the Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Semiconductor equipment shares jumped in premarket trading with ASML up 3%, Lam Research up 1.3%.

AXT shares dropped after the company cut its revenue outlook, citing China's reduction of export control permits. The stock shed 13% to $22.45 in premarket trading. Through the close, shares were up nearly fivefold over the past three months.

Tilray Inc. rose 7% in premarket trading after announcing a potential rescheduling of marijuana in the U.S. could boost its medical cannabis business.
