Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle unit of Xiaomi, will launch the updated SU7 in April -- the first facelift for its inaugural model.
Xiaomi EV announced the plan today on Weibo, calling the sedan's refresh the next-generation SU7. Pre-orders open at 10 am Beijing time on Wednesday.
Xiaomi shares gained in Hong Kong.
Launched on March 28, 2024, with deliveries beginning last April, the sedan became one of China's most popular EV models despite Xiaomi's late entry into the sector.
Over the past year and nine months, Xiaomi has delivered more than 360,000 SU7 units, averaging over 17,000 monthly, Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun said on Weibo today.
