Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.77%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Personal&Household Goods, Healthcare and Oil&Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.77% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which rose 7.86% or 760.00 points to trade at 10,430.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 7.84% or 785.00 points to end at 10,800.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 3.14% or 6.20 points to 202.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which lost 2.83% or 23.00 points to trade at 790.50 in late trade. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 2.25% or 5.80 points to end at 251.60 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) shed 2.24% or 19.60 points to 855.20.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 59 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.86% or 0.59 to $69.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.76% or 0.55 to hit $72.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.76% or 49.30 to trade at $2,751.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.01% to 6.87, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.03.
