Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT:LDOF), which rose 1.32% or 0.29 points to trade at 22.20 at the close. Pirelli&C SPA (BIT:PIRC) added 0.63% or 0.03 points to end at 5.10 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII) was up 0.21% or 0.01 points to 5.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI), which lost 18.50% or 1.44 points to trade at 6.33 in late trade. Amplifon (BIT:AMPF) declined 4.56% or 1.24 points to end at 25.95 and STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI) shed 3.58% or 0.95 points to 25.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 341 to 152 and 49 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.98% or 1.33 to $68.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.89% or 1.34 to hit $72.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 15.80 to trade at $2,796.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.96.
