Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.11%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment&Services, Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.11%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 5.04% or 6.60 points to trade at 137.50 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) added 4.08% or 9.20 points to end at 234.50 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was up 3.06% or 0.31 points to 10.44 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which lost 5.72% or 0.26 points to trade at 4.23 in late trade. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 4.36% or 5.30 points to end at 116.20 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) shed 4.23% or 2.04 points to 46.22.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 154 to 136 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.57% or 1.73 to $68.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.42% or 1.71 to hit $72.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 15.00 to trade at $2,796.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.89, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 10.94.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 103.88.
