Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.79%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.79%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 3.61% or 3.80 points to trade at 109.15 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 2.01% or 23.00 points to end at 1,166.00 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 1.56% or 1.55 points to 100.80 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which lost 11.70% or 6.15 points to trade at 46.40 in late trade. Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) declined 3.93% or 11.10 points to end at 271.50 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) shed 3.55% or 8.30 points to 225.20.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 149 to 134 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 5.42% or 3.89 to $67.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 5.32% or 4.02 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.45 to trade at $2,754.15 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.69% to 11.89, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 10.99.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.13.
