Italy shares higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.15%
Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Chemicals and Travel&Leisure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG), which rose 3.24% or 0.32 points to trade at 10.03 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI) added 3.16% or 0.07 points to end at 2.19 and Tenaris SA (BIT:TENR) was up 1.89% or 0.28 points to 14.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:UNPI), which lost 1.62% or 0.19 points to trade at 11.51 in late trade. Nexi SpA (BIT:NEXII) declined 1.11% or 0.07 points to end at 5.86 and Hera (BIT:HRA) shed 0.98% or 0.04 points to 3.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 264 to 241 and 45 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.82% or 1.28 to $71.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.79% or 1.33 to hit $75.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.50 to trade at $2,749.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.05.
