
Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum&Plastic, Telecoms&IT and Building&Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME:IDR), which rose 3.74% or 0.62 points to trade at 17.20 at the close. Fluidra (BME:FLUI) added 2.42% or 0.54 points to end at 22.82 and Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) was up 2.01% or 0.38 points to 19.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which lost 5.34% or 1.09 points to trade at 19.33 in late trade. Acciona (BME:ANA) declined 4.12% or 5.10 points to end at 118.60 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) shed 3.63% or 0.38 points to 10.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 89 and 24 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.54% or 14.80 to $2,753.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.76% or 1.93 to hit $71.97 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.56% or 1.90 to trade at $76.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.90.
