Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.33%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment&Services, Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.33%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 2.55% or 3.40 points to trade at 136.80 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) added 2.14% or 0.09 points to end at 4.29 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.80% or 1.22 points to 68.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which lost 3.49% or 5.30 points to trade at 146.70 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) declined 2.12% or 0.27 points to end at 12.24 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) shed 2.09% or 1.55 points to 72.70.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 138 to 130 and 41 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.55% or 0.39 to $70.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.38% or 0.28 to hit $73.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.85 to trade at $2,687.75 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 11.87, while USD/NOK rose 1.03% to 10.91.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 103.22.
