Indonesia shares higher at close of trade; Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite up 0.68%
Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Mahaka Radio Integra Tbk PT (JK:MARI), which rose 27.45% or 14.00 points to trade at 65.00 at the close. Multipolar Tbk (JK:MLPL) added 21.18% or 18.00 points to end at 103.00 and Capitalinc Investment Tbk (JK:MTFN) was up 20.00% or 1.00 points to 6.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Himalaya Energi Perkasa Tbk PT (JK:HADE), which lost 16.67% or 1.00 points to trade at 5.00 in late trade. Carsurin Tbk PT (JK:CRSN) declined 13.87% or 19.00 points to end at 118.00 and Techno9 Indonesia PT Tbk (JK:NINE) shed 12.50% or 1.00 points to 7.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 298 to 292 and 255 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 4.27% or 3.15 to $70.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.16% or 3.22 to hit $74.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.45 to trade at $2,671.05 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.09% to 15,572.65, while AUD/IDR fell 0.11% to 10,454.43.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 102.94.
