In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.19% or 2.34 to $75.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.21% or 2.46 to hit $79.04 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 35.40 to trade at $2,661.40 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.33% to 32.18, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.23% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.71.
