Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.24%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Goods and Personal&Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.24%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which rose 2.41% or 68.00 points to trade at 2,894.00 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) added 2.40% or 18.40 points to end at 783.80 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 1.55% or 28.50 points to 1,862.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which lost 0.58% or 0.90 points to trade at 153.10 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 0.39% or 40.00 points to end at 10,120.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) shed 0.34% or 0.70 points to 206.10.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 67 to 59 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.76% or 1.36 to $76.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.58% or 1.27 to hit $79.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.95 to trade at $2,550.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.00% to 6.68, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.67.
