Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 3.43% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.39 at the close. Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr) added 1.95% or 0.40 points to end at 20.90 and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) was up 1.45% or 0.46 points to 32.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which lost 3.32% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.61 in late trade. Intrakat Technikon Kai Energeiakon Ergon AE (AT:INCr) declined 2.74% or 0.14 points to end at 4.97 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) shed 2.59% or 0.08 points to 2.82.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 48 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 3.45 to $2,551.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.47% or 1.14 to hit $76.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.31% or 1.05 to trade at $79.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 100.61.
