Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.54%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment&Services, Pharma Biotech&Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.54%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which rose 4.71% or 3.10 points to trade at 68.85 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) added 2.13% or 5.50 points to end at 263.50 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) was up 2.04% or 0.72 points to 36.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which lost 1.51% or 2.40 points to trade at 156.30 in late trade. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) declined 1.45% or 16.00 points to end at 1,089.00 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) shed 1.38% or 0.15 points to 10.75.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 160 to 125 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.19% or 2.39 to $77.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.64% or 2.06 to hit $80.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 6.00 to trade at $2,552.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was unchanged 0.01% to 11.76, while USD/NOK rose 0.67% to 10.52.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.63.
