Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.92%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.92%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO), which rose 4.95% or 1,260.00 points to trade at 26,740.00 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 4.61% or 350.00 points to end at 7,950.00 and Etb (BVC:ETB) was up 1.88% or 1.50 points to 81.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), which lost 4.47% or 500.00 points to trade at 10,680.00 in late trade. Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) declined 2.72% or 250.00 points to end at 8,950.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO) shed 2.40% or 50.00 points to 2,035.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.68% or 6.67 to $242.58 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.00% or 77.00 to hit $7,774.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 26.90 to trade at $2,520.60 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.12% to 4,069.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.86% to 727.64.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 101.39.
