Italy shares higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.74%

Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.74%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (BIT:SPMI), which rose 3.35% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.07 at the close. Ferrari NV (BIT:RACE) added 2.54% or 10.70 points to end at 431.40 and Recordati (BIT:RECI) was up 2.37% or 1.20 points to 51.85 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Telecom Italia (BIT:TLIT), which unchanged 0.73% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.23 in late trade. Hera (BIT:HRA) declined 0.59% or 0.02 points to end at 3.38 and Snam SpA (BIT:SRG) shed 0.41% or 0.02 points to 4.37.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 284 to 176 and 59 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.07% or 0.78 to $72.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.79% or 0.61 to hit $76.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.90 to trade at $2,545.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 101.05.
