ECB SPF: Inflation seen averaging 2.7% in 2026
According to the European Central Bank's (ECB) quarterly Survey of Professional Forecasters (SPF), inflation rate in the Eurozone is projected to average 2.7% in 2026 before softening to 2.1% in 2027 and 2% in 2028.
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is forecast to grow by 1% in 2026, down from 1.2% projected in the previous survey.
Market reaction
The EUR/USD pair stays under modest bearish pressure in the European session on Monday and was last seen trading at 1.1710, losing about 0.1% on the day.
