NiSource Q2 2026 earnings: Profit declines but guidance remains unchanged

NiSource’s Q2 2026 GAAP net income available to common shareholders fell to $45.5 million from $102.2 million, while diluted EPS declined to $0.09 from $0.22. Adjusted EPS was $0.16, down from $0.22, as weather versus normal, NIPSCO work-continuity costs and Value Captured initiative expenses affected reported results. Six-month adjusted EPS still rose to $1.22 from $1.19. NiSource reaffirmed 2026 consolidated adjusted EPS guidance of $2.02-$2.07 and its 9%-10% adjusted EPS CAGR target through 2033, backed by a $28.6 billion capital plan.
