InTest Q2 2026 earnings: Auto/EV growth pressures gross margin

InTest’s Q2 2026 revenue increased 25.5% year over year to $35.3 million, while diluted GAAP EPS improved to $0.04 from a $0.04 loss. Auto/EV revenue more than doubled and drove the quarter’s growth, but the shift toward lower-margin projects reduced gross margin by 210 basis points to 40.5%. Adjusted EBITDA rose 73.7% to $2.2 million, and operating cash flow reached $6.3 million. Backlog remained 19.8% above last year at $45.4 million, while the company reaffirmed its updated full-year revenue outlook of $135 million to $140 million.

InTest Q2 2026 preliminary earnings: Revenue guidance rises as margin target falls

InTest’s preliminary Q2 2026 results put revenue at approximately $35 million, above its prior $32 million to $34 million range, while gross margin was about 40% and operating expenses were estimated at $13.9 million. Unfavorable Alfamation project mix and a supply-chain delay affecting roughly $2 million of ITS revenue drove the margin shortfall. InTest raised full-year revenue guidance to $135 million-$140 million but lowered its gross-margin outlook to about 43%. It also plans a $750,000 downward revision to first-quarter gross profit tied to Alfamation ERP and inventory issues.
