EchoStar Q2 2026 earnings: A non-cash gain drives the profit swing

EchoStar’s Q2 2026 earnings showed revenue of $3.58 billion, down about 4.0% year over year, while diluted EPS swung to $24.12 from a $1.06 loss. Reported net income attributable to EchoStar reached $8.46 billion, but the result was driven primarily by a $9.73 billion non-cash deconsolidation gain; excluding its tax-affected impact, net income would have been about $49.46 million. Adjusted OIBDA rose to $681.2 million from $279.6 million even as pay-TV, wireless and broadband subscribers declined, and operating income turned positive.
