Albemarle Q2 2026 Earnings: Lithium Pricing Drives Margin Recovery

Albemarle’s Q2 2026 revenue rose 31% year over year to $1.74 billion, while diluted EPS improved to $3.52 from a $0.16 loss. Adjusted EBITDA increased 155% to $858 million as higher lithium pricing lifted Energy Storage and Specialties benefited from better pricing, volume, and productivity. The company generated $710 million in operating cash flow and $638 million in free cash flow, though timing and non-recurring working-capital benefits helped. Albemarle also raised its Specialties outlook and reduced expected 2026 capital spending to about $500 million.
