Advance Auto Parts Q2 2026 Earnings: Margin Expansion Offsets Soft DIY Demand

Advance Auto Parts (AAP) reported Q2 fiscal 2026 net sales of $2.00 billion, compared with $2.01 billion a year earlier, while diluted EPS rose to $0.90 from $0.25. Adjusted operating margin expanded to 5.6% from 3.0%, supported by merchandising-led product margin gains and a $26 million tariff refund. Low-single-digit Pro growth was offset by weaker DIY demand late in the quarter. The company reaffirmed its full-year sales, adjusted operating margin and free cash flow guidance, while raising adjusted EPS guidance because of higher pre-tax interest income.
