Manifold Tech Limited and FARO INSIGHT Partner to Expand Reality Capture into New Markets

Rovi i.1 brings mobile field capture into the FARO Sphere® XG digital reality workflow.

MUNICH, Sept. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Manifold Tech Limited, a spatial intelligence technology company, announced a strategic collaboration with FARO INSIGHT, a business of AMETEK, Inc. The collaboration's first result is Rovi i.1, a mobile reality capture solution designed for everyday field use.

Rovi i.1 complements FARO INSIGHT's reality capture portfolio with a flexible approach to capturing spatial and visual data. It combines real-time localization, geometry, imagery and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) to produce spatial datasets and photorealistic 3D environments from a single field workflow.

Developed through close engineering collaboration, Rovi i.1 connects with the FARO Sphere® XG Digital Reality Platform for cloud-based processing, data management, visualization and collaboration.

The connected Capture → Cloud → Application workflow helps teams turn field data into point clouds, photorealistic 3D environments, measurements and digital-twin assets. These outputs can support existing software and industry-specific processes.

Potential applications include site documentation and construction progress in AEC&O; asset records and inspection in industrial facilities and infrastructure; scene documentation in public safety; and digital preservation in cultural heritage. The same spatial and visual data can also support immersive 3D experiences and spatial computing.

Beyond Rovi i.1, Manifold Tech Limited is applying its spatial sensing and reconstruction technologies to robotics and autonomous systems.
