Chip stocks rallied in premarket trading on Monday. Micron, SanDisk, SOXL, and Western Digital rose 3%; Seagate Technology rose 2%; Intel, Super Micro Computer, and Nvidia rose 1%.

Nvidia’s GTC 2026, the company’s biggest event of the year, kicks off in San Jose, Calif., on Monday with a keynote from CEO Jensen Huang.
The show starts at 1 p.m. ET, when Huang will take the stage at San Jose’s SAP Center to provide developers, analysts, and the press with updates on what the company is preparing for the year ahead.
Nvidia is expected to detail its roadmap, potentially debut a new chip platform with Groq technology from a $20 billion deal, and expand into custom CPUs.
Nvidia will likely showcase its full-stack AI factory approach and proprietary optical technology for energy efficiency and higher bandwidth.
