Live trading of commodities futures and options on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange halted on Friday due to technical issues, according to a notice posted on the CME Group website, adding it would be resolved “in the near term.”

“Support will continue to update and will provide Pre-Open details as soon as they are available,” the group said in its notice to brokers.

Contracts including crude oil and palm oil were affected in Friday morning trading in Asia. Most recent trades for the US West Texas Intermediate oil contract were seen at 10:47 a.m. Singapore time.
